Cargill Superior Grain Elevator

I'm working on a series based on Buffalo's post-industrial landscape. Within all the abandoned grain elevators and factories are compelling trashed objects. I am recovering a few and combining them with photography, painting and recycled wood. Each piece is becoming its own little world.

Harrison Radiator

The amount of buildings and materials just left abandoned in the city is staggering. In the words of one photographer, "the whole East side is an open mall."

Recycled Jesus

Here is one of the first pieces in the series. It combines the site photo (by railroad tracks in Black Rock) with a plastic baby Jesus and Madonna painting on the wood frame. The wood is from Buffalo ReUse which has proved to be a great source for inspiration and materials.
